Welcome to Summer Sama: an inclusive space where waves meet community, and everyone's invited. What surfing was always meant to be. "Sama-Sama" is an Indonesian word meaning 'you are welcome' and this is the purpose behind everything we do.
We are Ella and Shan, two friends who met on a surf retreat, and connected through our love for the ocean and travel. Our mission is to pay forward the amazing experiences we’ve had on our surf journey, foster beautiful connections, and help others find their feet - and friends - in the surfing community.
Start every morning under the coconut trees or watching the sunrise from the ocean. Each day will begin with a healthy breakfast at our bungalows, or we'll jump right in to an invigorating surf session. Our retreat schedule is not set in stone, and our movement and/or mindfulness activities will flow with the tides around our daily surfs. We are big believers in going where the waves take us, so expect some spontaneous and joyous adventures along the way!
Group lunches and dinners will be organised to foster connection and conversations around the table, but are completely optional. And in between it all, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to relax around the pool, socialize, read or reflect in our very own tropical oasis. We can't wait to share some of our favorite places and experiences with you.
